1) All you can eat cheese. Need I say more?
2) I looked into the Cookery for a reception venue for my wedding, but never went to see it in person
3) I was going with some of my sisters!
Kristina, Emily, and I (Rachel we missed you!), went and tried a bunch of local, homemade cheeses, meats, bread, and wine from the Triangle area. It was pretty toasty in the building - the event was free, so there were a LOT of people in attendance. Other than the heat it was so fun! We drank champagne, caught up, and sampled - def lived up to my excitement!
Review of the Cookery (The Cookery Front Room)
I thought it was a really great space. I'm glad I went with Fearrington, but the Cookery has those great wood floors & beams with brick walls and great windows. It also has a restaurant-quality bar & kitchen for the caterer. It is two stories, so there is a balcony that looks down on the main part of the venue. It is hard to say how it would be set up for a reception because the room was so full of people eating cheese, but it seems like there would be plenty of space. It is a relatively new venue, and I think well worth the visit to all my friends who are getting engaged. Overall - really unique place, well kept, great staff!
